NB/T 20007.18-2012 is Part 18 of the Chinese energy industry series on stainless steel for pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants, covering rolled or forged martensitic stainless steel parts for the drive shafts of classes 2 and 3 auxiliary pumps.

It fixes the requirements for the manufacture, testing, inspection and acceptance of those forged and rolled parts. Four grades fall within it: 12Cr13, 20Cr13, 04Cr13Ni4Mo and 05Cr16Ni5Mo.

Where the shaft is machined directly from forged or rolled round bar, the standard also governs the purchase of bar up to 200 mm in diameter. It is classified H40 in China and 77.140.20 internationally, and its analytical methods come from the GB/T 223 series. Issued on 6 January 2012, it has applied since 6 April 2012.
