As Part 22 of the stainless steel series for pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants, NB/T 20007.22-2012 is the Chinese energy industry standard for seamless pipe of martensitic stainless steel used in the drive rods of reactor control rod drive mechanisms.

Its technical requirements take in manufacture, chemical composition, mechanical properties, test methods and inspection rules. The grade covered is 12Cr13 in seamless pipe form for that drive rod application.

Under the Chinese classification H48 and the international classification 77.140.75 it belongs with steel pipes for particular service. Composition and mechanical testing rest on the GB/T 223 series together with GB/T 228.1, GB/T 229, GB/T 230.1 and GB/T 11170. Issued on 6 January 2012, it has applied since 6 April 2012.
