Scope
NB/T 11108-2023 is the English-translated version of 选煤用起泡剂性能要求.
NB/T 11108-2023 is the Chinese energy industry standard setting performance requirements for foaming agents, which control bubble size and keep the froth stable during coal flotation.
Beyond basic selection and environmental requirements, it fixes indicators for odour, appearance, stability, density, water content, mechanical impurities, freezing point, closed-cup flash point, kinematic viscosity, foaming ability, foam half-life, volatile organic compounds and benzene content.
Each indicator has a detection method, many of them taken from petroleum product testing, and judgement rules follow. The scope is foaming agents for coal preparation in coal mines. Issued on 6 February 2023, it has applied since 6 August 2023.
