1 Foreword

JB/T 9152-2011 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 15 August 2011 and has been in force since 1 November 2011.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9152-1999.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for sliding tooth continuously variable transmission chains. It sets the technical requirements of the chain, and these are listed as the specifications, the structural type, the dimensions, the tolerances, the minimum tensile strength, and the methods of testing and of inspection. The chains it applies to are the vane chains used in tooth-chain continuously variable transmissions. The Chinese classification is J18 and the international classification 21.220.30, and the standard quotes GB/T 9785-2007. It replaces JB/T 9152-1999, the edition that came before it, and the issuing agency recorded for it is the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
