JB/T 8974-2011 is the English-translated version of TAW系列增安型无刷励磁同步电动机技术条件.
JB/T 8974-2011 is the Chinese machinery industry standard for the TAW series of increased safety (Ex e) brushless excitation synchronous motors.
It specifies their type of construction, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging, and applies to TAW series motors used to drive reciprocating compressors; motors derived from the series may apply it by reference.
It is used together with JB/T 8973-2011 on the explosion protection requirements of these motors, and with GB 3836.1-2010, GB 3836.3-2010, GB 755-2008 and GB/T 1029-2005.
It replaces JB/T 8974-1999. Issued on 20 December 2011 by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT Announcement 2011 No. 43), it has been in force since 1 April 2012. Classification: ICS 29.260.20, CCS K 25.

This standard specifies the type of construction, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of the TAW series of increased safety brushless excitation synchronous motors.
This standard applies to TAW series increased safety brushless excitation synchronous motors for driving reciprocating compressors. Motors derived from this series may also apply it by reference.
