JB/T 8946-2010 was issued by MIIT on 11 February 2010 and has been in force since 1 July 2010.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8946-1999.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for vacuum ion coating plant. It fixes the types and basic parameters of ion plating equipment, the technical requirements, the equipment inspection and quality assessment, the quality commitment, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to arc evaporation ion plating equipment, electron beam evaporation ion plating equipment and magnetron sputtering ion plating equipment, as well as to combinations of these three types, and equipment having the characteristics of other ion plating types may refer to it.
