JB/T 8834-2013 was issued by MIIT on 31 December 2013 and has been in force since 1 July 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8834-2001.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry for the phenolic resin used in foundry coated sand. It classifies and grades the resin and names its grades, then sets the technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and closes with marking, packaging, transport, storage and safety. It quotes GB/T 191, GB/T 6678, GB/T 8146 and GB/T 24411-2009. The standard replaces JB/T 8834-2001.
