JB/T 8803-2015 is the English-translated version of 双金属温度计.
JB/T 8803-2015 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for bimetallic thermometers. 1 Foreword
JB/T 8803-2015 was issued by MIIT on 10 October 2015 and has been in force since 1 March 2016.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8803-1998.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for bimetallic thermometers. It sets the terms and definitions, the product classification and basic parameters, the technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and it covers the signs, packaging and storage of the instrument. The thermometers in its scope have a bimetallic element and a protective tube and carry a circular scale, they work over the measuring range that the standard states, and the scope also takes in versions fitted with an electrical contact device. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 191-2008, several parts of GB 3836, GB/T 25475-2010 and JB/T 9252-1999. It replaces JB/T 8803-1998.
