JB/T 8598-2013 was issued by MIIT on 31 December 2013 and has been in force since 1 July 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8598-1997.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the quick-release rings that hold change gears on the shaft ends of machine tools. It gives the basic parameters of these rings, the dimensions to which they are mounted, the way they are designated and the technical requirements they have to satisfy. Machine tool shafts carrying exchangeable gears are its field of application. It is classified J51 in the Chinese system and 25.060.99 internationally. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 119.2-2000, GB/T 1801-2009 and GB/T 8597-2013. It supersedes the 1997 edition, JB/T 8598-1997.
