JB/T 8511-2011 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on air insulated busbar trunking systems, also called air insulated busway. It gives terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transport and storage for the busway. It applies to busway with a rated voltage not exceeding 1000 V, 1140 V included, at a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz, used in residential areas, business districts, public places and agricultural and industrial buildings, including systems that feed lighting through tapping units and systems carrying communication or control circuits. Self-contained components chosen for the busbar system, such as circuit breakers, are instead referred to their own standards.
