JB/T 8488.1-2013 is the English-translated version of 铲齿车床 第1部分：精度检验.
Part 1 of the Chinese machinery industry standard for relieving lathes, JB/T 8488.1-2013, is concerned with accuracy testing. It sets the requirements for the geometric accuracy of the machines and the test methods by which that accuracy is checked.

JB/T 8488.1-2013 was issued by MIIT on 31 December 2013 and has been in force since 1 July 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8488.1-1996.
It is one of 5 parts of the JB/T 8488 series.
2 Scope
Part 1 of the Chinese machinery industry standard for relieving lathes, JB/T 8488.1-2013, is concerned with accuracy testing. It sets the requirements for the geometric accuracy of the machines and the test methods by which that accuracy is checked. It is written for apron-travelling relieving lathes with a maximum workpiece diameter over the tool carriage of 250 mm to 500 mm, machining modules from 1 mm to 40 mm.
