JB/T 8483.1-2011 is the English-translated version of 多用车床 第1部分：精度检验.

Part 1 of JB/T 8483, numbered JB/T 8483.1-2011, is a recommended Chinese mechanical and machinery industry standard on the accuracy testing of versatile lathes. It lays down the geometric accuracy and the working accuracy of general-grade machines of this type, with the matching tolerances and the corresponding test methods. Its range is lathes with a maximum swing over the bed of 250 mm to 400 mm and a maximum workpiece length of 1000 mm. Only accuracy is tested under it: running checks such as vibration, abnormal noise and crawling of moving parts, and parameter checks such as speed and feed rate, are excluded and are done beforehand. It takes over from JB/T 8483.1-1996 and cites GB/T 17421.1-1998. Issued on 18 May 2011, it has applied since 1 August 2011.
