JB/T 8347-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8347-1996.
2 Scope
This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that fixes the graphical symbols used for the operation of open-front presses. It covers symbols for motion and speed, symbols for elements and mechanisms, symbols for operation, safety and warning symbols, and a further group of general symbols. The standard applies to the operating indications placed on open-front presses. It is used with GB 2893, GB 2894, GB/T 5465.2-2008, GB/T 16902.2 and ISO 7000-2004. The document replaces JB/T 8347-1996.
