JB/T 7688.2-2008 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard, the second part of the series on technical requirements for metallurgical cranes, and it is given to charging box cranes. It states the technical requirements for the crane along with its testing and its inspection rules. The application it names is the crane that hooks and lifts the charging box, carries it and tips it for converter charging, the machine the text calls simply the crane. It quotes GB/T 20303.5, JB/T 7688.1-2008 and JB/T 7688.5. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the part, which carries the Chinese classification J80 and the international classification 53.020.
