JB/T 7688.4-2013 was issued by MIIT on 25 April 2013 and has been in force since 1 September 2013.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 7688.4-1995.
It is one of 24 parts of the JB/T 7688 series.
2 Scope
This standard is the fourth part of the Chinese machinery industry standard giving specifications for metallurgical cranes, and it deals with slab handling cranes. It lays down the technical requirements for these cranes together with the test methods and the inspection rules applied to them. It is mainly applied to double-girder and triple-girder slab handling cranes whose lifting gear is a clamping device or a magnetic chuck. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 699-1999, GB/T 1591-2008, GB/T 3811-2008, GB/T 10051.1, GB/T 20303.5 and JB/T 7688.1-2008.
