JB/T 7115-2011 is a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry on local reactive power compensation installations for low-voltage motors. It gives terms and definitions, conditions of use, design, construction and safety requirements, quality requirements and testing, marking and transport, and guidance on installation and operation.
The installations it addresses are connected in parallel with a motor in alternating-current distribution systems at 50 Hz or 60 Hz with a nominal voltage of 1 kV or below, compensating the motor's inductive reactive power and raising the power factor on the spot.
Classified K42 and 31.060.70, it replaces JB/T 7115-1993 and quotes GB 4208, GB 7251.1-2005, GB/T 22582 and DL/T 462.

1 Foreword
JB/T 7115-2011 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 20 December 2011 and has been in force since 1 April 2012.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 7115-1993.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry on local reactive power compensation installations for low-voltage motors. It gives terms and definitions, conditions of use, design, construction and safety requirements, quality requirements and testing, marking and transport, and guidance on installation and operation. The installations it addresses are connected in parallel with a motor in alternating-current distribution systems at 50 Hz or 60 Hz with a nominal voltage of 1 kV or below, compensating the motor's inductive reactive power and raising the power factor on the spot. Classified K42 and 31.060.70, it replaces JB/T 7115-1993 and quotes GB 4208, GB 7251.1-2005, GB/T 22582 and DL/T 462.
