JB/T 6955-2008 is the English-translated version of 热处理常用淬火介质 技术要求.
JB/T 6955-2008 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on the quenching media commonly used in heat treatment. It specifies the classification of those media and the technical requirements they have to meet. It applies to the three kinds of medium used for quenching metal materials and parts, namely aqueous media, oils and hot baths, and it does not include metal bath, fluidized bed or gas quenching media. The standards it quotes include GB/T 260, GB/T 264, GB/T 265, GB/T 614, GB 3095, GB/T 17145, JB/T 4392 and JB/T 7951. It replaces JB/T 6955-1993, carries the Chinese classification J36 and the international classification 25.200, and was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
