JB/T 6403-2017 was issued by MIIT on 9 January 2017 and has been in force since 1 July 2017.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 6403-1992.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry on large heat-resistant steel castings. It runs through the order requirements, the manufacturing process, the technical requirements, the inspection rules and test methods, the quality certificate, and marking, packing and transport. What it governs are ordinary heat-resistant steel castings produced by sand casting. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 223.3, GB/T 223.11, GB/T 223.12 and further parts of the GB/T 223 series of chemical analysis methods. It supersedes JB/T 6403-1992.
