JB/T 6378-2008 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard setting the rules that relate to pneumatic fluid power directional control valves. For valves working at pressures below 1.6 MPa it lays down general requirements, performance requirements, test methods, inspection rules and product identification. It applies to general purpose pneumatic valves that use compressed air as the working medium, and the kinds of valve it takes in are solenoid controlled, pressure controlled, mechanically controlled and manually controlled. Classified J20 and 23.100.50, it replaces JB/T 6378-1992 and was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 786.1, GB/T 14513, GB/T 22107, JB/T 5976 and ISO 11727.
