It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 6344.2-2002.
It is one of 3 parts of the JB/T 6344 series.
2 Scope
This standard is Part 2 of a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on gear hobbing machines, and it carries the specifications. It sets the requirements for the design, the manufacture, the inspection and the acceptance of these machines. The part applies to vertical hobbing machines with a maximum workpiece diameter from 80 mm to 2000 mm, and its text allows vertical hobbing machines of other sizes to refer to it.
