1 Foreword

It is one of 4 parts of the JB/T 6236 series.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for resin-impregnated glass fibre banding tape used for electrical insulation, a weftless mesh tape. It gives the product type classification, the requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and covers packaging, labelling, transport and storage. The tape it applies to is made from silane pre-treated glass fibre yarn, twisted and laid parallel, gathered together and impregnated with a thermosetting resin to give a semi-cured, B-stage weftless mesh tape. It quotes GB/T 22471.2-2008 and JB/T 2197-1996. It supersedes JB/T 6236.1-1992. Chinese classification K15 and international classification 29.035.99 are recorded, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it.
