Scope
JB/T 5909-2010 is the English-translated version of 电除尘器用瓷绝缘子.
JB/T 5909-2010 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on the porcelain insulators used in electrostatic precipitators.
It gives the terms and definitions, the method of model designation, the classification by type, the technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, together with requirements for packaging, labelling and transport.
It applies to the various porcelain insulators that hold the high-voltage field of precipitators working with flue gas below 400 °C, and to insulators working under comparable conditions.
It does not apply to insulators used where the flue gas carries large amounts of coal tar, or where the porcelain surface suffers condensation or soaking by rain.
It replaces JB/T 5909.1-1991, JB/T 5909.2-1991, JB/T 5909.3-1991 and JB/T 5909.4-1991.
