QC/T 431-2013 is the English-translated version of 火花塞瓷绝缘体技术条件.
Porcelain insulators for spark plugs are the subject of QC/T 431-2013, a recommended standard in the Chinese automobile industry series. It gives the terminology for these insulators and then the technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules that apply to them.
The insulators concerned are those used in the spark ignition systems of internal combustion engines. The standard draws together and replaces a whole group of earlier documents, QC/T 431-1999 through to QC/T 437-1999.
It refers to GB/T 772, GB/T 2828.1-2003, GB/T 2900.8, GB/T 6791, GB/T 7825 and QB/T 1642. Issued on 25 April 2013, it has applied since 1 September 2013.
