1 Foreword

JB/T 5902-2015 was issued by MIIT on 30 April 2015 and has been in force since 1 October 2015.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 5902-2001.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard giving the technical requirements for the oxygen piping of air separation plants: the design, manufacture and installation of the straight pipe, the piping accessories and the valves that convey oxygen of 90 percent purity or above around the compressor units, together with the test methods and the packaging. It applies to oxygen pipework made by the manufacturer and to pipework completed on site. Pipelines for oxygen-enriched air, with an oxygen volume fraction above 23.5 percent, may follow it for reference, while pressure pipelines for filling cylinders and oxygen pipelines designed or made by users or engineering firms lie outside it. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 3091, GB 12459, GB/T 14976 and GB 16912-2008.
