JB/T 5278.2-1991, the second part of its series, is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on the flanges of bakeable copper wire sealed vacuum joints. It sets the structure and the dimensions of the steel vacuum sealing flange, and the technical requirements that go with them. Like the other parts of JB/T 5278, it applies to the flange types specified in JB 5278.1, and it is used with the copper sealing ring covered by part 3. Its quoted standards are GB 1220, GB 6070.1 and JB 5278.1, and it falls under classification J15 with the international class 23.160 for vacuum technology. Issued on 1 January 1991, it has applied since 1 July 1992.
