Scope
JB/T 4746-2002 is the English-translated version of 钢制压力容器用封头.
JB/T 4746-2002 is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for formed heads used on steel pressure vessels. It sets the manufacturing, testing and inspection requirements for these heads and lists the common types together with their parameters. The tabulated types and parameters cover heads made from a single plate or from welded plates and shaped by stamping, spinning or rolling, while the manufacturing and acceptance requirements reach further, to ellipsoidal, dished, conical and spherical cap heads of other types and parameters. It works alongside GB 150-1998, GB/T 1804-2000, JB 4708-2000, JB 4730-1994 and JB 4732-1995. It replaced JB/T 4729-1994, JB/T 4737-1995, JB/T 4738-1995, JB/T 4739-1995 and JB 576-1964. Issued on 1 January 2002, it has applied since 1 March 2003.
