JB/T 4289.5-2014 is the English-translated version of 立式精镗床 第5部分：镗头.
JB/T 4289.5-2014 is the fifth part of a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on vertical fine boring machines, and it deals with the boring head. It sets the requirements for the manufacture and inspection of the head, the geometric accuracy tests and their methods, and the checks on working accuracy.
It is written for the boring heads of ordinary general purpose vertical fine boring machines. Its tests follow GB/T 1182-2008, GB/T 13384-2008 and GB/T 17421.1-1998.
The part takes the place of JB/T 9901.2-1999. Issued on 6 May 2014, it has applied since 1 October 2014.

JB/T 4289.5-2014 was issued by MIIT on 6 May 2014 and has been in force since 1 October 2014.
It is one of 9 parts of the JB/T 4289 series.
2 Scope
This standard is the fifth part of a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on vertical fine boring machines, and it deals with the boring head. It sets the requirements for the manufacture and inspection of the head, the geometric accuracy tests and their methods, and the checks on working accuracy. It is written for the boring heads of ordinary general purpose vertical fine boring machines. Its tests follow GB/T 1182-2008, GB/T 13384-2008 and GB/T 17421.1-1998. The part takes the place of JB/T 9901.2-1999.
