1 Foreword

JB/T 3989.2-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 3989.2-2000.

It is one of 7 parts of the JB/T 3989 series.

2 Scope

This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that carries the specifications for cylindrical involute gear grinding machines of general purpose. It states the requirements these machines must meet in manufacture and the requirements against which they are inspected. Machines with a tip diameter capacity of up to 5000 mm fall within it, including form grinders and the other gear grinding machines of the family. It sits in the Chinese class J56 and in the international class 25.080.99.
