It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 3382.3-2006.

2 Scope
JB/T 3382.3-2014 covers accuracy testing of precision grade surface grinding machines with a horizontal grinding wheel spindle and a reciprocating table. This recommended machinery industry standard gives the requirements and the methods for verifying geometric accuracy and working accuracy alike. It applies to precision machines whose table working surface is 125 mm to 800 mm wide, the same size range as the high accuracy machines treated in Part 4 of the series. Its testing rests on GB/T 17421.1. It replaces JB/T 1579-1999. Issued on 9 July 2014, it has applied since 1 November 2014.
