1 Foreword

JB/T 2858.2-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 2858.2-1999.

It is one of 8 parts of the JB/T 2858 series.

2 Scope

This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery standard laying down the specifications of thread grinding machines. It states what is required of their manufacture and of their inspection. The part covers ordinary accuracy grade moving-table thread grinders, and universal machines of the same family, for workpieces of 125 mm to 500 mm maximum diameter and 500 mm to 5000 mm maximum length. Its requirements are used with GB/T 1031, GB 5226.1, GB/T 9061, GB 15760, GB/T 16769, GB/T 23572, GB/T 23574, GB/T 23575, GB/T 25372, GB/T 25373, GB/T 25374 and GB/T 25376, and with JB 4029. It replaces JB/T 2858.4-1999.
