JB/T 20021-2004 is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for high speed rotary tablet presses. It fixes the terminology and definitions, the classification and marking, the requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules of the press, together with the provisions for its signs, brochure, packaging and storage. The standard applies to rotary presses whose turret die-hole centre line speed is not less than 60 m/min. It quotes GB/T 191, GB/T 1184-1996, GB 5226.1-2002, GB/T 6388, GB/T 9969.1, GB/T 10111, GB/T 13306, GB/T 13384, GB/T 16769-1997 and YY/T 0216. It took over from the earlier medical device standard YY 0020-1990. It was issued on 1 January 2004.
