1 Foreword

JB/T 1308.17-2011 was issued by MIIT on 18 May 2011 and has been in force since 1 August 2011.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 1308.17-1999.

It is one of 45 parts of the JB/T 1308 series.

2 Scope

This standard is the part on reducers within the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for PN2500 ultra-high pressure valves and fittings. For a reducing pipe it sets the form, the size and the technical requirements. The components in its scope are forged steel valve fittings of nominal pressure PN2500 and nominal size DN3 to DN25, used with ethylene, polyethylene and other non-corrosive media. The classification codes recorded for it are J16 in the Chinese scheme and 23.060.01 in the international scheme. It quotes GB/T 1220, JB/T 1308.2 and JB/T 1308.3. The earlier edition it supersedes is JB/T 1308.17-1999.
