1 Foreword

JB/T 12944-2016 was issued by MIIT on 22 October 2016 and has been in force since 1 April 2017.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the loopers installed on hot-dip galvanizing lines. It defines the terms, the types and their designation, the basic and main equipment parameters, the technical requirements and the inspection rules, and it also covers anti-rust coating, packaging, marking and the technical documents supplied with the machine. Horizontal and vertical loopers are both within its scope, for lines running strip from 0.15 mm to 4.5 mm thick and from 500 mm to 2 080 mm wide, with a strip tensile strength condition stated in the standard. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 786.1, GB 2585, GB 5226.1, GB/T 6576, GB 50231 and JB/T 5000.3-2007. Its codes are H94 and ICS 77.180.
