Scope

JB/T 12462-2015 is the English-translated version of 轮胎式装载机可靠性加速试验规范.

Accelerated reliability testing of wheel loaders is covered by JB/T 12462-2015, a recommended machinery industry standard.

It gives the terms and definitions used in assessing the reliability of articulated steering wheel loaders, the accelerated or intensified test method and the way its characteristic quantities are calculated, the system of assessment indicators, the assessment method, and the rules for classifying and judging failures.

It applies to the reliability testing and reliability verification testing of mass-produced articulated steering wheel loaders, and the reliability data gathered in a type test may be obtained with the method it specifies.

The reliability of tyre loaders may also be assessed by reference to it. It supersedes JB/T 51147-1994, was issued on 10 October 2015 and took effect on 1 March 2016.

This document was issued on 10 October 2015 by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, and has been in force since 1 March 2016.

It replaces JB/T 51147-1994.

About this edition

JB/T 12462-2015 is the current edition. It was issued on 10 October 2015 and has been in force since 1 March 2016, replacing JB/T 51147-1994.

JB/T 51147-1994 has been superseded: a specification that still cites it is citing a withdrawn edition.

The interval between issue and effect is the transition period. It exists so that producers, laboratories and buyers can requalify products, revise procedures and use up documentation before the new text becomes the one that applies. The date on this page is the official one announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.

Edition history and citation

JB/T 12462-2015 replaces JB/T 51147-1994. A specification, drawing or test report that cites the older number is pointing at a document that is no longer the one in force, and the two editions can differ in requirements, in test methods or in scope.

Where an edition is replaced, the Chinese standardization system keeps the number and changes the year: the number identifies the subject, the year identifies the text. That is why a citation without a year is ambiguous and a citation with one is not.

Classification and status

JB/T 12462-2015 carries no ICS number in the official record.

The JB/T prefix marks a recommended standard of China's machinery industry, issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is not, in itself, law: it becomes binding when a contract names it, when a regulation or a mandatory standard refers to it, or when a producer declares conformity with it.
