1 Foreword

JB/T 12421-2015 was issued by MIIT on 10 October 2015 and has been in force since 1 March 2016.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry that sets out a test method for the endurance of insulating materials used in inverter-fed motors under repetitive impulse electrical stress. It describes the pre-treatment conditions, the instruments, the specimens, the test conditions, the test procedure, the number of tests and the treatment of results, and it lists the factors that have to be taken into account. The method is intended for assessing how well insulating material for a variable frequency motor withstands repetitive impulse electrical stress. It quotes GB/T 1480.1-2006, GB/T 3953-2009, GB/T 4074.7-2009, GB/T 11026.4-2012 and GB/T 22566.1-2008. Its classifications are K15 in the Chinese system and 29.035.99 internationally.
