JB/T 11140-2011 is the English-translated version of 磷酸亚铁锂蓄电池模块通用要求.
Lithium iron phosphate battery modules are the subject of JB/T 11140-2011.
The standard gives terms and definitions, classification and model, basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and provisions on marking, packaging, transportation and storage, with an informative appendix listing a preferred series of energy-type modules.
It covers modules composed of lithium iron phosphate batteries of 6 A·h or more. The standard was issued on 18 May 2011 and implemented on 1 August 2011. It is a Chinese machinery industry standard issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology under ICS 29.220.

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, basic parameters, technical requirements, inspection rules, markings, packaging, transportation and storage of lithium iron phosphate battery modules composed of lithium iron phosphate batteries equal to or greater than 6 A · h.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in JB/T 11137-2011 apply.
4 Classification and Model
4.1 Classification
4.1.1 According to the battery type, it can be divided as follows:
--- Energy type lithium iron phosphate battery module (Code E);
--- 48/16: A battery module composed of 16 (16) batteries in series with a nominal voltage of 48 V (48);
--- 50/9: The rated discharge current is 50 A (50), and the maximum discharge current is 450 A (50 A × 9);
--- 4007: The battery module adopts a standard battery module case with a type code of 4007.
4.2 Model
4.2.1 Type code
The type code of the lithium-ion battery module consists of four characters: The first character (M): Battery module identification code; The second character (F): Battery category, lithium iron phosphate battery; The third character (B): Battery type, see 4.1.1;
The fourth character (C): Function configuration of battery management system (BMS), see 4.1.2.
4.2.2 Rated power
The rated power is represented by three significant Arabic numerals, and the unit is kW · h.
When the rated power is less than 10 kW · h, retain 2 digits after decimal point, such as 9.85 kW · h;
When the rated power is greater than or equal to 10 kW · h, but less than 100 kW · h, retain 1 digit after decimal point, such as 13.7 kW · h;
When the rated power is greater than or equal to 100 kW · h, it is represented by a 3- digit integer, such as 143 kW · h.
4.2.3 Nominal voltage/the number of modules
The nominal voltage (U) of the battery modules that compose of the lithium-ion battery assembly, in V.
The number of battery modules (N) that compose of the lithium-ion battery assembly.
The nominal voltage of the battery assembly is equal to the algebraic sum of the nominal voltages of the modules.
4.2.4 Rated discharge current/peak discharge current multiple
The rated discharge current is the rated discharge current (I) of the lithium-ion battery The anode and cathode output connections of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall comply with the provisions of 5.4.3 in JB/T 11139-2011.
5 Technical Requirements
5.4 Technical requirements
5.4.4 Interface and protocol
The interface and protocol of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall comply with the provisions of 5.4.4 in JB/T 11139-2011.
5.4.5 Compliance and reliability
5.4.5.1 Compliance
The compliance of the interface and communication protocol of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall comply with the provisions of 5.4.5.1 in JB/T 11139-2011.
5.4.5.2 Reliability
The reliability of the circuit interface, interface protocol, the communication interface and communication protocol of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall comply with the provisions of 5.4.5.2 in JB/T 11139-2011.
5.4.5.3 Interconnection mark
The interconnection mark of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall meet the requirements of 5.4.5.3 in JB/T 11139-2011.
5.4.6 Rated capacity
The battery cell that is used to form the lithium iron phosphate battery module is represented by capacity (in A · h); and the rated capacity (in A · h) shall comply with the provisions of 5.4.1.
5.4.7 Rated power
Lithium iron phosphate battery modules are represented by power (in kW · h); and the actual power shall be greater than or equal to the rated power (in kW · h).
The rated power of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall comply with provisions of Appendix A.
5.4.8 Specific energy
The volume specific energy and weight specific energy of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall comply with the provisions of the manufacturer's product technical documents.
5.4.9 Source power consumption
5.4.11 Service life
The service life of lithium iron phosphate battery module is divided into standard cycle service life and working condition cycle service life.
5.4.11.1 Standard cycle service life
The standard cycle service life of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall be greater than or equal to 1200 times.
When the manufacturer has such provisions in the product technical documents, it shall comply with the provisions of the manufacturer's product technical documents.
5.4.11.2 Working condition cycle service life
The working condition cycle service life of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall meet the requirements of 5.4.11.2 in JB/T 11139-2011.
5.4.12 Battery module case
The lithium iron phosphate battery module case shall comply with the provisions of JB/T 11141-2011.
5.4.13 Module case protection level
The protection level of the lithium iron phosphate battery module case shall comply with the provisions of 5.4.13 in JB/T 11139-2011.
5.4.14 Property definition equipment
The equipment defining the properties of the battery module for the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall comply with the provisions of 5.4.14 in JB/T 11139-2011.
5.4.15 Charging equipment
The charging equipment that is used for the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall comply with the provisions of 5.2.10 in JB/T 11137-2011.
5.4.16 Electrical equipment
The electrical equipment that is connected to the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall comply with the provisions of 5.2.11 in JB/T 11137-2011.
5.4.17 Product model
The models and specifications of lithium iron phosphate battery modules are divided into preferred series and reserved series. the provisions of 5.2.13.4 in JB/T 11137-2011.
5.5 Safety
5.5.1 Insulation resistance
The insulation resistance of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall comply with the provisions of 5.3.1 in JB/T 11137-2011.
5.5.2 Creepage distance
The creepage distance of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall comply with the provisions of 5.3.2 in JB/T 11137-2011.
5.5.3 Protection level of shell
The protection level of the shell of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall comply with provisions of 5.3.3 in JB/T 11137-2011.
5.5.4 Thermal management equipment
The thermal management equipment of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall comply with the provisions of 5.3.4 in JB/T 11137-2011.
5.5.5 Overcurrent disconnecting device
The lithium iron phosphate battery module and electrical equipment and charging equipment should be connected by the overcurrent disconnecting device. The overcurrent disconnecting device shall comply with the provisions of 5.5.5 in JB/T 11139-2011.
5.5.6 Hazardous substances
The lithium iron phosphate battery module and its composition products shall comply with the provisions of SJ/T 11364-2006.
In the event of an accident, when more hazardous substances may be released, the design and installation of lithium-ion battery modules shall take corresponding technical measures to minimize the risk; and particularly, ensure that personal safety shall not be harmed.
5.6 Environmental requirements
Unless otherwise specified, lithium-ion battery modules shall be operated in compliance with the following environmental conditions.

It shall be performed according to the provisions of 6.3 in JB/T 11137-2011.
6.6 Interface and communication protocol
The test of the interface and communication protocol shall comply with the provisions of 6.4 in JB/T 11137-2011.
6.7 Power (kW · h) test
It should be carried out in accordance with 6.5 of JB/T 11137-2011.
6.8 Service life test
The service life test methods of lithium iron phosphate battery modules shall be specified in relevant product standards or industry specifications.
6.9 Consumed peak power
The test of the consumed peak power for the electronic circuit power supply of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of 6.7 of JB/T 11137-2011.
6.10 Insulation resistance
The insulation resistance test of the lithium iron phosphate battery module shall be carried out in accordance with 6.8 of JB/T 11137-2011.
6.11 Electromagnetic compatibility test
The electromagnetic compatibility test circuit of the lithium iron phosphate battery module and its composition equipment shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of 6.11 in JB/T 11139-2011.
7 Inspection Rules
7.1 Inspection classification
Inspection is divided into exit-factory inspection and type test.
7.2 Exit-factory inspection
