1 Foreword

JB/T 11051-2010 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 11 February 2010 and has been in force since 1 July 2010.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for biaxially oriented polypropylene film used as the dielectric of power capacitors. It fixes the product classification and naming of the film, its general requirements, dimensions and performance, and the test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage that go with them. The standard applies to biaxially oriented polypropylene film intended as power capacitor dielectric, and it does not apply to metal dielectric films. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 13542.2-2009, GB/T 13542.3-2006 and IEC/TR 61074-1991.
