1 Foreword

JB/T 10548-2016 was issued by MIIT on 15 January 2016 and has been in force since 1 June 2016.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 10548-2006.

2 Scope

JB/T 10548-2016 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on horizontal directional drilling rigs. It gives terms and definitions, the classification of the rigs, the requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and then marking, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to the horizontal directional drilling rig as defined in ISO/IEC 11408. It replaces JB/T 10548-2006. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 7935, GB/T 10913, GB 20891, GB/T 21153, GB/T 25602, JB/T 5943 and BS ISO 11500, and it carries the Chinese classification P97 and the international classification 53.100.
