The friction linings of friction hoists are the subject of JB/T 10347-2015, a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry. It fixes the types and basic parameters of the lining, its technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, describes the failure modes, and covers marking, packaging, transport and storage. The linings addressed are those through which force passes between the friction wheel of a hoist and the rope, and other comparable friction drive situations are taken in as well.
