1 Foreword

JB/T 10261-2014 was issued by MIIT on 6 May 2014 and has been in force since 1 October 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 10261-2001.

2 Scope

This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for polyvinyl chloride insulated, nylon sheathed wires and cables with rated voltages up to and including 450/750 V. It gives the products, the models and the specifications, then the technical requirements, the testing, the inspection rules, the delivery lengths, the marking and the packaging. The rated voltage of the cable is what sets the field of application of JB/T 10261-2014. It replaces the 2001 edition of JB/T 10261. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 2951.11-2008, GB/T 2951.14-2008, GB/T 3956-2008, GB/T 5023.2-2008, GB/T 18380.12-2008 and JB/T 8137.2. Its Chinese classification is K13 and its international classification 29.060.01.
