1 Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and labeling, as well as packaging, transportation and storage of basic cupric carbonate for industrial use.

This standard is applicable to basic cupric carbonate for industrial use. This product is primarily intended for use as a raw material in the manufacture of organic synthesis catalysts, electroplating chemicals, crude oil desulfurizing agents, wood preservatives, pigments, insecticides, antidotes for phosphorus poisoning, and other industrial copper salts.

Basic cupric carbonate for industrial use is classified into two types by purposes: Type I - for use as a catalyst; Type II - for general industrial use.
