HG/T 4564-2013 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for surface-tolerant epoxy coatings, the epoxy paints meant to be applied where the surface has had only limited preparation. It lays down the requirements for these coatings and the test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage arrangements that go with them. Its field is coating work carried out under non-ideal conditions, where the substrate cannot be prepared to the usual degree. The document quotes a set of paint test standards, among them GB/T 1725-2007, GB/T 1732-1993, GB/T 1733-1993, GB/T 5210-2006, GB/T 6742-2007 and GB/T 9286-1998. Chinese classification G51 and international classification 87.040 apply, and the issuing body is the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Issued on 17 October 2013, it has applied since 1 March 2014.
