HG/T 4542-2013 is the English-translated version of 循环冷却水中聚环氧琥珀酸含量测定.
HG/T 4542-2013 is the recommended chemical industry standard of China for determining the polyepoxysuccinic acid content of circulating cooling water. It sets out a spectrophotometric determination of that content and applies to circulating cooling water systems in which polyepoxysuccinic acid is dosed as a scale and corrosion inhibitor. Knowing that content matters because the dose has to be followed while the water is in service. The standard sits under the Chinese classification G76 and the international class 71.040.40, with GB/T 6682-2008 quoted for the grade of water used in the analysis. Issued on 17 October 2013, it has applied since 1 March 2014.
