HG/T 4384-2012 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for damping rubber sheets used on automobiles. It opens with the terms and definitions and the classification of the products, then sets the technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and ends with marking, packaging, transport and storage. The sheets in scope are the automotive damping films, shortened in the text to damping film. It is a recommended standard, classified G47 in China and ICS 83.140.99 among rubber and plastics products. Its testing and safety references are GB/T 528, GB/T 533-2008, GB/T 4498-1997, GB 8410, GB/T 18258 and GB 18580. Issued on 28 December 2012, it has applied since 1 June 2013.
