HG/T 4335.5-2012 gives the same treatment to ethanedioic acid, better known as oxalic acid, as Part 5 of the Chinese chemical industry standard on acid spills. It describes the physical and chemical properties of the acid and its dangers, states the emergency measures for a leak, and covers the handling of the leaking site and the disposal of the leaked material. The part is written for spills that occur during production, storage, use, operation and transport. It draws on GB 2890, GB/T 18664-2002, GB 20266 and AQ 6102. Issued on 28 December 2012, it has applied since 1 June 2013.
