HG/T 4220-2011 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for spherical molecular sieve desiccants used with refrigerants. It gives the terminology and the classification of these products, the requirements they must meet, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for packaging, labelling, storage and transport. Its scope is the spherical zeolite products supplied for refrigerant service, whose main task is to dry the refrigerant circulating in refrigeration systems of various types. It quotes GB/T 191-2008, GB/T 6286-1986, GB/T 6288, GB/T 6679-2003, HG/T 2783, HG/T 3590 and ASTM 97-2000. Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
