HG/T 4170-2011 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for steel chelating resin columns, the vessels that hold chelating ion-exchange resin. It fixes the model designation method, the specifications and structural types, the requirements, the test methods and inspection rules, and the rules for marking, painting, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to columns with a design pressure above -0.02 MPa and no greater than 0.6 MPa, and a design temperature no higher than 60 °C. Its Chinese classification is G93 and its international classifications are 71.120.10, 75.180.20 and 23.020.30. It quotes GB 150, GB/T 4219.1, HG/T 20677, HG/T 20678, JB 4711, JB/T 4730.2 and TSG R0004. Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
