Scope
HG/T 4074-2008 is the English-translated version of 贮气柜用橡胶密封膜.
HG/T 4074-2008 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for the rubber sealing membranes used in gas holders. It sets the requirements, the inspection rules and the test methods for the sealing membrane, with provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage. It covers membranes for gas holders of design pressure not above 6 kPa in metallurgy, petrochemicals, town gas schemes and sewage treatment, where the stored gas may be coke oven gas, converter gas, blast furnace gas, refinery off-gas, associated oilfield gas, mine gas, biogas or natural gas. Sealing membranes built on an interwoven substrate are excluded. The tests follow GB/T 528-1998, GB/T 531-1999, GB/T 1682-1994, GB/T 3512-2001 and HG/T 2580-1994. Issued on 23 April 2008, it has applied since 1 October 2008.
