HG/T 4061.1-2008 is the English-translated version of 磁卡用磁条 第1部分:低矫顽力磁条.

The first part of the magnetic stripe series, HG/T 4061.1-2008, is the Chinese chemical industry standard for the low coercivity magnetic stripe. It lays down the requirements for a stripe made with low coercivity material, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions on marking, labelling, packaging, storage and transport. A low coercivity stripe can lose the data recorded on it if it meets a magnetic field, and no value of coercivity is fixed here; tests are run on a card carrying the stripe, with deviations settled between the parties. Its field is stripes for identity cards, paper cards, passbooks and comparable uses. A non-equivalent adoption of ISO/IEC 7811-2:2001, it refers to GB/T 191, GB/T 2828.1, GB/T 6388, GB/T 18455 and HG/T 4061.4-2008. Issued on 23 April 2008, it has applied since 1 October 2008.
