Scope
HG/T 3842-2006 is the English-translated version of 消防用不可折叠型橡胶和塑料软管 第1部分:定位应急设施用轴卷半硬性软管.
HG/T 3842-2006 is the first part of the Chinese chemical industry standard for non-collapsible rubber and plastics hoses for fire-fighting service, and it deals with the semi-rigid hose fitted to fixed first-aid installations. It sets the performance required of that hose and the tests applied to it, for bores of 19 mm and 25 mm at a maximum working pressure of 1.2 MPa and for 33 mm bore at 0.7 MPa. Hose complying with it is used on the fixed reels that serve buildings, groups of buildings and construction sites, and it holds only for non-corrosive conditions between -20 °C and +60 °C. A modified adoption of ISO/DIS 4642-1-1994, it replaces GB/T 16590.1-1996 and quotes GB/T 5563-1994 and GB/T 14905-1994. Issued on 27 July 2006, it has applied since 11 October 2006.
